Comparing and Contrasting
Dare to Compare; more loose platform language; wind-swept spreads; pauses.
By chance over the weekend I tuned into a music programme on the radio just as the host reminded listeners that the Chopin competition had started. I’ve been following the competition avidly since then catching up on the performances every evening, reading the reviews by Jed Distler, attempting to discover the comparisons and see the contrasts he describes. And, given the wonderful set of biographical videos accompanying the competition, there’s a chance also to get a sense of contrasting views and approaches to the music.
(Note that you can turn on subtitles if they don’t appear automatically.)
Attempts to compare and contrast contributions to the Chopin competition made me think about how best to continue the “Compare and Contrast” Stratnergy theme.
As you will remember if you’re a regular reader, Stratnergy was paused for a month earlier this year. Since ‘unpausing’ Stratnergy at the end of August, the “Compare and Contrast” pieces have been most popular. That seems natural: it is fascinating to see how different companies approach the German energy market. Comparing one with another reveals facets, each pairwise comparison has a dynamic.
Any ideas for Compare and Contrast III? I am, as you know, open to suggestions. Compare and Contrast II started from a reader comment on Compare and Contrast I.
We could return to and expand on an observation from the first post in the series taking recent news about Suena’s Series A funding success as a starting point.
