AI to BESS. Hypes and Queues.
What’s Real? What’s Next?
I started yesterday’s post on BEM order exploration moaning about unreflected use of “AI” tools. Today, without any sense of inconsistency, we use the new software to explore the BESS hype cycle. Domain-calibrated tools help us to explore and iterate quickly. The connections we build are probably a step or two in front of ‘content’ available elsewhere. Tell me if you disagree!
Our starting premise is that analysis of the AI hype cycle can be applied to explore the dynamics in BESS development. AI is the story of the day, and it draws the champions league of punditry. Granted there’s some excellent BESS industry analysis out and about, but I’d argue it’s not as deep or rich.
Our programme: we begin with the best talk I’ve seen on the development of AI and its hype cycle and then we connect it to BESS. We end up, perhaps surprisingly, with a connection to the secret sauce in oil trading.
